All new properties will be charged a once-off connection fee for the initial phone line or NBN connection at the premises.  This fee is required for the initial set-up, to enable all future residents to utilise the phone/internet at the premises (at their cost).

The bill itself will be issued to the occupant, as part of their phone/internet account.  However, we then ask any tenant who has organised this to forward us a copy.  The initial connection fee will then be reimbursed to the tenant, which we organise from the lessor’s rental funds.

Once the initial connection fee is paid, the lessor has no further obligations other than to ensure the infrastructure remains in good order.

The tenant is responsible to pay for the service connection to the line and all associated costs (e.g. telephone internet service provision).
